How it was bagged
It was the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and the rut was still going strong. This nice 10ptr came out of the thick ridgetop and walked down the ridge in front of me about 75yds away with his nose to the ground. One shot with my Remington Model 700 30-.06 put him down in his tracks. Yeee Haaaawww...good times.

I was 16 when I took this 10 pointer with a 270. He was 19 1/2\\\" wide and this was my first buck. My dad had hunted this buck all through bow and black powder season and I was in the woods for 3 hrs when he walked up on me.

Good nine-pointer that made a mistake by showing himself. He was chasing a doe and was in full rut. I was sitting on the edge of an alfalfa field and caught him busting full stride across the field chasing a doe.

How it was bagged
This buck was taken on a nasty rainy day during rifle season. The rain finally slacked up about mid-morning and we got out of the truck and found this big boy bedded down on the outside of a cut-over corn field. His biggest mistake was that he stood up...The .270 did its job on this good 8 Point!

How it was bagged
This good 8 pointer was taken at over 450 yards with a 7 mag during the last week of rifle season. He has a very tall rack. Although his spread is not that good he had plenty of mass for a southwest Virginia deer.

How it was bagged
These two bucks were taken 2 minutes apart by myself and my hunting buddy Paul. It was Pauls turn to shoot and he saw the 7 pointer chasing a doe and I was running the camera. He shot the 7 pointer and not 1 1/2 minutes later the BIG 11 pointer came running down the same trail and started fighting the dead 7 pointer. I quickly grabbed his gun and took the BIG buck. We recovered them both 3 feet from each other. What a way to spend the opening day of rifle season!

How it was bagged
We hunt with dogs (hounds). We had one dog that kept running around like he was on a fox. All the other men had given up and went back to the trucks. I stayed on my stand and finally he forced the buck to show his self on the edge of a small power line 30 yards from me. This buck was taken on opening day in 2004 by David Hart with Rockhill Hunt Club. Location was King George County VA. Private Land know as Turkey Acres.Weapon 12GA Remington 1100 Triple O Lead Buckshot
