This was to be Austin's first Turkey hunt! We heard a Gobbler what sounded to be 7-800 yards away. I cackled and he answered. We had decoys set up and the next time I called, he had cut the distance in half! Austin was so excited I could feel his heart pounding against my chest! The Gobbler gobbled again, but this time was about 60 yards out.
As it turned out, there were two long beards together. I told Austin, on the count of three shoot the one on the left, 1, 2, 3! A double with my 10 year old son! A hunt I or he won't soon forget! His weighed 18lbs 11.oz 10 3/4" beard 1" spurs, mine was 18lbs. 12oz 10" beard 1" spurs

Finally bagged this big tom after several weeks of hunting him. Nailed him at 50 yards out in a field strutting around 2 hens. 19.5 lbs, 1" sprurs, 11" beard.

My neibor and I had a rough eason but on the secound to last we called in this tom. He weight in at 28 pound and had an 11in. beard and 1.5in. spurs. After I shot a couple of jakes ran in and my neibor shot one.
